Family Lessons

You can now hire an instructor to give your whole family a private lesson. To get the best out of a private lesson, be crystal clear with the instructor on the aims for your family or your child at the start.

Kashmir Ski School offers premium ski and snowboard lessons for families. Our qualified Ski instructors have a lot of experience in teaching, the right attitude, and passion for their profession. All our ski and snowboard instructors know Gulmarg Ski Resort and will choose the most appropriate slopes for your family’s requirements, ability, fitness level, and weather.

Because of the close attention you receive, private lessons can often represent better value for money than a group ski lesson, but it is advisable to book a minimum of 5 days if you are a beginner at skiing.

 

Any normal day on the slopes with a Private Ski Instructor will look like

• Full day (9:45 a.m to 4:00 p.m) of private lessons on the bunny slopes
• Lunch break for 45 minutes in between the lessons
• Access to your favorite certified pros. The ski instructor will be with you at all times
• Minimum of 2-day lessons on control and balance on the bunny slopes*
• Day 3 on intermediate slopes*
• Day 4 on Phase 1*

We often find that our guests build real rapport with our friendly instructors during private ski lessons, so if you’d like to continue learning with the same instructor, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Things you need to know:

• Aim to arrive 20 minutes before the start time of your lesson, to give yourself ample time to get prepared.
• Price of your lessons does not include prices of boots, skis, poles, or a snowboard and a helmet
• Gloves are compulsory– you can bring your own or rent it from our in-house “Global Ski Shop” at reasonable rates
• Helmets are mandatory– you can bring your own if you have one or you can rent one from our ski shop.
• Wear ski jackets and trousers preferably. If you don’t have one, you can rent one from our shop as well.
