About Kashmir Ski School
A ski school for everyone, run by the people who grew up on this mountain.
Kashmir Ski School was established in 2010 with the objective of providing ski lessons for all levels and ages. We’re a group of 30-plus individuals, highly experienced in skiing and mountaineering, who’ve been working in Gulmarg’s winter industry for more than two decades. We understand our mountains — let us show you why we love them.
Our basic courses are aimed at beginners who’d love to learn skiing and snowboarding, with small-group tuition available. For intermediate and expert skiers, our best guides handle route selection with utmost safety. Every course is custom-made to your stay, skill level, and standard.

Safety first
We're professional — and we've been doing this since we were kids.
We hold safety and security as the highest priority. Our instructors are trained to International Avalanche Safety Standards by top guides from New Zealand. They’re locals of Gulmarg who know their mountains like the back of their hand — dedicated professionals who’ve been skiing since the age of 6, teaching ski lessons for more than 16 years.
Every year, we also run a free skiing and snowboarding programme for around 30 local kids — 15 boys and 15 girls — to spread the thrill of winter sports among the community that hosts it.

The Skill Ladder
Our courses are flexible and designed to match your level of skill and expertise. Follow the real 8-level system our instructors use, from your first time on skis to tightening technique on black runs — then jump straight to the matching course.
