Family Lessons
Hire an instructor to give your whole family a private lesson. To get the best out of it, be crystal clear with your instructor on the aims for your family or your child at the start.
Kashmir Ski School offers premium ski and snowboard lessons for families. Our qualified instructors know Gulmarg Ski Resort well and will choose the most appropriate slopes for your family's requirements, ability, fitness level, and weather.
Because of the close attention you receive, private family lessons can often represent better value for money than a group lesson — though we advise booking a minimum of 5 days if you're a beginner at skiing.
What a day looks like
Typical day structure
- •Full day (9:45am to 4:00pm) of private lessons on the bunny slopes
- •Lunch break for 45 minutes in between the lessons
- •Access to your favorite certified pros — the ski instructor will be with you at all times
- •Minimum of 2 days of lessons on control and balance on the bunny slopes*
- •Day 3 on intermediate slopes*
- •Day 4 on Phase 1*
*The estimates are based on our evaluation of our beginner clientele.
Things to know before you arrive
- •Aim to arrive 20 minutes before the start time of your lesson, to give yourself ample time to get prepared.
- •Price of your lessons does not include boots, skis, poles, snowboard, or helmet.
- •Gloves are compulsory — bring your own or rent from our in-house Global Ski Shop at reasonable rates.
- •Helmets are mandatory — bring your own or rent one from our ski shop.
- •Wear ski jackets and trousers preferably — rentable from our shop if you don't have them.
