Perched at the very top, Gulmarg sits on the rim of the Kashmir Valley in the Pir Panjal range of the mighty Himalayas. With the “World’s Highest Gondola” and a skiable vertical of 2,000 meters, Gulmarg has become one of the world’s must-visit destinations for adventurous skiers and boarders.
The Gondola rises in two stages to an elevation of 4,000 meters. During big storms, the huge pines from the mid-station offer great protected tree lines, while the options off the top are endless.

Shark Fin
Reckoned to be the finest bowl for powder skiing in Gulmarg. Located on the backside of Mount Apharwat, Shark Fin is primarily for expert skiers, offering a vertical drop of 300 meters. The main chute from the top is between 45 and 60 degrees.
